PRESS RELEASE
Dutch Society of Pathology Selects PathoGate Platform for Collaborative Pathology Panels
The Dutch Society of Pathology (NVVP) has chosen the PathoGate platform to facilitate Collaborative Pathology Panels at regional, national, and international levels. This decision marks a significant step in advancing collaboration and standardization among pathologists.
Advancing Pathology Collaboration with Collaborative Pathology Panels
Collaboratory Pathology Panels enable pathologists from different locations to collaborate, train, and establish consensus on case assessments and biomarker evaluation while building a collection of interesting cases.
Panels can be configured to support multiple workflows and levels of interaction, and further allows for participants to directly upload relevant cases for panel review. The platform supports all major whole slide image formats, standard images, pdf reports and more.
NVVP plans to roll out the tool to more than 20 regional and national collaborative pathology panels within all areas of histopathology.
Robby Kibbelaar, clinical pathologist: the NVVP has fourteen national expert groups for the various pathology sub-specializations. The expert groups facilitate regional and national pathology panels for diagnostics and training. Based on Pathpanel 1.0, we are developing a Pathpanel 2.0 with PathoGate that will become a uniform platform for the expert groups for virtual and live digital panel diagnostics. Pathpanel 2.0 becomes a powerful tool for network pathology, ensuring access to expert pathology and continuous training.
Andreas Schønau, CEO of PathoPulse, is proud to support the visionary ambition of the NVVP to implement a new class of collaborative tools for their members: ‘NVVP has a clear ambition to foster collaboration and continuous learning among its members. Collaborative Pathology Panels fills a gap and solves a number of the issues related to collaboration across multiple locations. It is a perfect addition to our platform for teaching, training, proficiency testing and scientific research in pathology’.
